Pista means trace or track in Spanish. What traces will you leave behind?

A line in the sand, a handprint on a cave wall, or a drawing on a large sheet of paper. Humans have been leaving traces for thousands of years. In this workshop, children will explore how their own lines, shapes, and ideas can also become part of something bigger.

The workshop takes place in MUNCH’s brand-new Drawing Studio, a space shaped by imaginative traces, drawings and stories made by children and youth. This autumn, we are offering free drawing workshops with three exciting artists. In this workshop, artist Victor Guzman invites children and youth to make their mark on the space. Together, we will explore how lines can tell stories, connect us, and leave traces of our thoughts behind.

The participants will have the opportunity to draw on large surfaces, experiment with different ways of making marks, and contribute to a collaborative artwork that grows gradually. Every line, shape, and idea becomes part of the larger drawing.

The workshop is free of charge and can be booked on the assigned dates.

This project is supported by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB’s Tegneløftet initiative. The workshop is part of Come Draw With Us, MUNCH’s long-term commitment to drawing.

Welcome to a workshop full of traces, lines, and imagination!

After the workshop, you can explore Edvard Munch’s paintings, prints, and drawings in several of our exhibitions, including the interactive exhibition «Connect the Lines».
