Sense Play (6-12 months)Baby workshop
At Sense Play, we invite our youngest visitors to a baby workshop where we use the entire sensory apparatus. Here, babies get to experience sensorimotor and creative activities, through exploration of tactile installations and painting with natural and edible ingredients. We begin with a small performative tour of one of the museum's permanent Munch exhibitions. In August and September, the workshop takes as its starting point the painting The Dance of Life by Edvard Munch (1925), while in October and November we immerse ourselves in Starry Night (1922-24). Here we are inspired by the colors, shapes and atmosphere of this.
Welcome to an intimate and playful experience that stimulates both the senses and the interaction with baby.
The workshop has been developed by Emilia Ruostila, who is an early childhood educator with a specialization in visual arts. The event is held in collaboration with the museum's skilled communicators.
