It’s bound to be a powerful experience when US drummer and festival artist Brian Blade joins forces with Hanna Paulsberg, Oscar Grönberg and Bárður Reinert Poulsen at Oslo Jazz Festival 2026.
Paulsberg was high on Blade's collaborator wishlist, and she has assembled a fully-formed band with Grönberg on piano and and Poulsen on bass. Two sparkling musicians who Paulsberg has already worked closely with in contemporary bands like Hanna Paulsberg Concept and Flukten.
Together with Brian Blade on drums, this makes up a dynamic, flexible quartet which can switch easily between lighter and heavier musical textures. It'll be a true joy to hear Paulsberg's warm glowing sax tones together with Grönberg's elegant piano playing, alongside the crackling rhythm section of Poulsen and Blade.
This is the backdrop to an exclusive meeting of minds at MUNCH tonight: four stunning musicians with a deep, unique mutual understanding.
