MUNCH 2027
From World-Renowned Masters to Emerging Artists

Next year’s programme spans two of the world’s most celebrated artists, a Norwegian pop star and one of the most distinctive literary voices of our time. Get a head start on spring in February and immerse yourself in summer sunshine, blooming gardens and gently rippling water.
Find a touch of summer warmth and look ahead to brighter days as girl in red’s music meets Edvard Munch’s vibrant paintings in the darkness of February. More than a century after his death, Claude Monet continues to move audiences around the world with his depictions of nature. At MUNCH, you can experience four decades of his extraordinary landscape paintings and explore the relationship between his interpretations of wild and cultivated nature.
Drawing on personal experience and their work as a textile artist, Damien Ajavon creates a multi-sensory underworld of hybrid creatures for MUNCH's distinctive 10th floor gallery in this year’s SOLO OSLO exhibition. And Ali Smith opens The Door of the Story as she brings Edvard Munch’s art into her singular imaginative world, revealing unexpected connections and details.
Children once again take centre stage at MUNCH with an exhibition of their own, where they are invited to scribble, erase, start again or continue where someone else left off. Come Draw with Us becomes a space where children can leave their mark and where every drawing is valued.
