Come draw with us

Make a mark, scribble, erase, start again, or pick up where someone else left off. In this exhibition, children are invited to leave their mark in a gallery space where every drawing matters.

Edvard Munch kept all of his sketches and drawings. Even a single line, an unfinished draft, or a fleeting note was valuable enough to be preserved for the future. At the same time, he was known for experimenting and for using drawing as an immediate way of giving form to thoughts, stories, and the world around him.

In the spirit of Edvard Munch, Come Draw with Us gives children the chance to take over the entire exhibition, pencil first.

Together with a contemporary artist, MUNCH explores drawing as a creative form of expression and offers children an art experience on their own terms. Come Draw with Us opens up space for imagination and personal interpretation, inspiring a desire to draw that extends far beyond the exhibition galleries and the museum itself.

Visitors are invited to draw and participate across different zones, scales, and situations. Here, your marks can leave visible traces in the exhibition, while also revealing the marks left by others. In this way, drawing becomes a shared process rather than simply an individual achievement.
