The Living WardrobeDrawing Workshop

Join fashion designer and artist Edda Gimnes for an imaginative workshop where children can draw on large surfaces, create life-sized costumes and dress up.
After the workshop, you can explore Edvard Munch’s paintings, prints, and drawings in several of our exhibitions, including the interactive exhibition Connect the Lines.
Welcome into Grandma’s Living Wardrobe!
Inside, you’ll discover unusual costumes, forgotten stories and curious characters. Here, children can draw on large surfaces, create their own costumes and let their imaginations run free.
The workshop takes place in MUNCH’s brand-new Drawing Workshop, where children’s drawings, stories and imagination help shape the space itself. This autumn, we are invitingchildren to free drawing workshops with three exciting artists. Fashion designer and artist Edda Gimnes opens the series with her bold, playful and imperfect visual style.
In The Living Wardrobe, children can draw and build their own life-sized costume, dress up and have their photo taken with their creation. The costumes will remain as part of theinstallation, which grows throughout the day with new characters, stories and expressions.
The project is supported by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB’s Tegneløftet initiative. The workshop is part of Come Draw With Us, MUNCH’s long-term commitment to drawing.
Join us for a day of drawing, costumes and imagination!
