The series places particular emphasis on highlighting impulses from different cultures that shape both the cityscape and the museum space.
This autumn’s edition of Inspired draws influence from the German artist Katharina Grosse and the exhibition Black Bed. Her color-intensive, expressive practice. Grosse is known for challenging traditional boundaries of painting by expanding the canvas into physical space, painting directly onto architecture, landscapes, and sculptural forms.
Based on Grosse’s work, we invite participants to explore color and how art can occupy space in new and unexpected ways.
