Heartbreak HoedownOslo Queer Line Dance

Oslo Queer Line Dance invites you to Heartbreak Hoedown – an evening in MUNCH’s Festsal where line dancing, club culture and a party atmosphere rub together!
OQLD has rapidly become a lively and open dance scene in Oslo, famous for its popular line dancing nights on the upper floor at Blå (Himmel). It’s a mix of social dance, comedy, rhythms and community in a safe space where everyone is welcome – whatever your experience level. Heartbreak Hoedown scales up the energy for a special night in MUNCH’s Festsal!
The evening begins with a crash course in line dancing every hour, combined with a DJ set full of positive vibes. You’ll learn the steps as you go, and we’ll make sure both beginners and experienced dancers can join in right from the get-go. It’s more about taking part than showing your skills. Eventually the night will transform into a club and party, where well-known queer club scene DJs will get the dancefloor going. Expect a mix to make the whol room throb – from queer country to club beats and everything in between.
Spellemann prize-winning DJ Embla Karidotter spins your fave country and line dance hits, while Oslo favourite Spr1te lays down a camp, sleazy cowboy set especially for the occasion. Dress however you want – feel free to rock a country & western glam look, or your own creative interpretation of ‘hoedown’ style. But everyone’s welcome however they look! Heartbreak Hoedown is a night for dancing, meeting people and enjoying the collective joy of moving and grooving together.
OQLD is queer-centric, creating a safe space for everyone LGBTQIA+. Allies are of course most welcome.
Pull on your boots and get on down!
