Where Lines Meet – Draw with Munch
What can a single line tell us? Join us for an exclusive members’ experience in the exhibition Where Lines Connect, where you can explore Edvard Munch’s fascinating world of drawing—and create your own drawings along the way. The exhibition offers an entirely new way of experiencing Munch’s extensive drawing archive through an interactive drawing experience in which artificial intelligence connects your lines with drawings from the museum’s collection.
Dr. Nikita Mathias, the exhibition’s concept developer, invites you to delve deeper into the project behind the exhibition. Learn how the idea came about, why drawing was so central to Munch’s artistic practice, and how technology can bring new life to thousands of drawings that can rarely be exhibited. You will also have plenty of time to try the drawing tablet yourself. Perhaps your line will lead you to one of Munch’s grotesque caricatures, whimsical dog drawings, or unexpected sketches?
Welcome to a different kind of art conversation, where creativity, technology, and Munch come together—one line at a time.
