MUNCH and Samsung Electronics have collaborated to bring iconic works by Edvard Munch to the Samsung Art Store.
This digital collection makes 37 masterpieces – including The Scream, The Dance of Life and Melancholy – as well as several rare works from the museum’s collection, available to millions of users worldwide.
Alongside Munch’s iconic masterpieces, the collection offers a more intimate insight into his artistry, featuring rarely seen works such as Garden with Trees and Two People at Table. These works form part of a collection of treasures preserved in the museum’s archives, many of which must be kept in carefully controlled conditions to prevent further deterioration. Their fragility makes them unsuitable for public display, even at the museum in Oslo.

“This collaboration gives us a unique opportunity to share Edvard Munch’s art with audiences far beyond the museum walls in Oslo. Through Samsung’s global reach and its art TV technology, we can make Munch’s works more accessible to people around the world. We are delighted to be collaborating with Samsung on this initiative,”
Tone Hansen, Director of MUNCH.
