SENSE PLAY (6-12 months) workshop
This event is reserved for babies (6-12 months) accompanied by one adult. The ticket includes admission to the museum's exhibitions.
In Sense Play, we invite our very tiniest visitors to a baby workshop where we make use of the whole of our sensory apparatus. Here, babies can experience senso-motoric and creative activities, by exploring tactile installations and painting with natural and edible ingredients. We start with a little performative tour of one of the museum’s permanent Munch exhibitions. In January and February, the workshop is based around the particular painting Starry Night by Edvard Munch (1922–24). Here, we draw inspiration from its colors, shapes, and atmosphere.
The workshop is developed by Emilia Ruostila, a children’s pedagogue specialising in visual art. The event is held in collaboration with the museum’s expert art educators.
