Children’s Art Day at MUNCH is a series of events including tours, creative workshop activities and inspiring experiences aimed at kids.

On our Kids’ Art Day, we’re offering kids playful tours and creative workshop activities almost every Sunday. In this workshop we’ll be exploring typical features of how Edvard Munch used to paint his pictures.

Did you know that lots of people used to say Edvard Munch was a sloppy painter, just because he used to make shapes and colours simpler and brighter in order to show different feelings? Even his own brother Andreas used to say Edvard never finished any of his paintings. But why?

Come with us and paint thick and thin, vast and fast, just like Munch! Bit by bit, we’ll try to paint stuff like trees, rocks, water and sky the same way the painter did.

Feil Teater will give children a fun-filled tour of the exhibition Munch Infinite, before getting stuck in to a painting session in the museum’s lovely art workshops. This event is hosted by the museum’s brilliant educators and workshop assistants.

Welcome!
