1. Experience the largest collection of Edvard Munch
At MUNCH, you will find the largest Edvard Munch collection in the world, with nearly 30,000 works! See masterpieces such as The Scream, Madonna, and The Girls on the Bridge with your own eyes. Discover hidden treasures and learn about one of history’s most renowned artists. Did you know that Edvard Munch ‘invented’ the mobile phone and loved taking selfies?

The Scream is one of the world’s most famous paintings, and we have three different versions! A painting, a drawing, and a print.
2. See three brand new exhibitions!
With an exciting programme spanning modernism and contemporary art, there is so much to explore at MUNCH this spring. Experience, for the first time in the Nordic region, the political and poetic work of Paula Rego, a five-metre-high installation by Kim Hankyul, and the rare opportunity to see Edvard Munch’s historic decoration for the Freia chocolate factory.
3. Explore one of Europe's coolest neighbourhoods
When you're done exploring our exhibitions, visit our top floor and enjoy the beautiful fjord- and city view. Have a drink at our rooftop bar while you sit outside taking in the sunset. Treat yourself with a dinner infused with nostalgic flavours at our fine dining restaurant or enjoy baked goods and a homemade lemonade in our café on the first floor.
