Our restaurant on the 12th floor offers Oslo’s most spectacular views – over Ekeberg, the very spot where Edvard Munch captured the motif for The Scream, and across the Oslo fjord. The space accommodates around 130 guests, with a beautiful terrace, and private dining for up to 50 guests in a separate chamber. Larger parties can book the entire restaurant and bar. Begin with a welcome drink at the bar before moving down to the restaurant. AV equipment is available.

The bar on the 13th floor offers westward views over the city – from the Opera House to Holmenkollen – and stretches far out across the southern fjord. The space accommodates around 80 guests and can be booked for cocktail parties with finger food from the kitchen. The bar also has an adjoining terrace, which can hold up to 100 guests when the weather allows.

On the ground floor, you’ll find our café, home to an extensive bakery that may well produce the city’s best croissants made with butter, alongside a fully equipped kitchen capable of catering for all types of events.

The space can be easily separated from the museum lobby and transformed into a lush event venue with views of the fjord and the mouth of the Akerselva River. It can accommodate everything from seated dining for up to 250 guests, to buffets or cocktail parties with finger food. There is ample space and all the necessary equipment for any type of entertainment.

MUNCH Café features a stunning covered terrace that extends over the rocks, offering incredible views while still feeling private and secluded. The space comes with its own bar and can accommodate any catering needs. The terrace can be booked separately or together with the indoor café space. Please note that use of the terrace is weather dependent.

For gala dinners with round tables and capacity for up to 160 guests, complete with full-scale entertainment such as large concerts, the museum’s banquet hall, Festsal, is the perfect choice. The hall comes equipped with a professional stage and AV equipment, as well as some of the country’s top sound and lighting technicians.

Sky Room is the museum’s own event space, equipped with excellent lighting and sound systems. The museum provides some of the city’s best technicians, while we deliver food, drinks, and service at the same high standard as our restaurant. The space also has a private terrace (weather dependent) with views stretching from the Opera House to Holmenkollen.

You can host a private gala dinner or a festive Christmas party with round tables for up to 70 guests.
